TikTok user reimagines Coles and Woolworths as siblings on sibling rivalry in this HILARIOUS viral clip
TikTok user @nomnomjenny has sparked a furious debate online after posting a hilarious video of her acting out as Australia's major supermarkets.

The TikTok clip features Coles and Woolies as the two main siblings while IGA and Aldi play smaller roles.

“My mud cake is better!” Coles exclaimed.

“No, my mud cake is better!” Woolies retorted.

IGA chimed in with “We don’t want a war, like you guys had with the milk,” a brilliant comeback that references the major milk pricing battle between the retail giants in 2018.

IGA added: "Can't you see that you guys are pretty much the same?"

The banter between the two supermarket giants (or in this case, 'siblings') continued with them fronting their respective selling points.

“I’m better because I have Flybuys,” Coles says.

“I’m better because I have (Everyday) Rewards points, and those are completely different!” Woolies responds.

Just before the clip ends, both of the supermarket giants claimed to have wider supermarket aisles — a claim the German budget supermarket, Aldi, rejected before sarcastically asking “Oh, you two think you have wide aisles?”

The now-viral clip has garnered more than 32,000 likes and over 400 comments from TikTok users who started debating which supermarket is the best.

TikTok user @2021_subaru_xv suggested that Woolworths could ramp up its argument by saying: “Well, I have fresh butchers,” in reference to Cole's recent decision to make most of their butchers redundant.

The mud cake argument also sparked a debate in the TikTok community with users having a split vote on which of the two cakes are better.

One user wrote: “Woolies mud cake on top.”

Another user retaliated saying: “Coles mud cake! Nothing, I mean nothing, can beat it."

A third wrote: “Coles cookies are mad, but Woolies mud cake is superior”.

The low-priced Aldi also received massive support, with a lot of the users writing that it should be crowned with the top spot.

In fact, everyone agreed that Aldi definitely has the widest aisles of all the supermarkets.

A number of TikTokers said that they prefer one of the ‘forgotten’ supermarkets: Costco, Spudshed, and Foodworks.

Some TikTokers also had a different take on the family unit Australian supermarkets could form with @jinnielefttoe offering the theory: “Woolies and Coles are twins, IGA is the oldest and Aldi is the middle child”.

The clip is not the first time someone has parodied Australian supermarkets in a hilarious clip.

Another TikTok comedian, @carlyztiktok, recently created a video detailing where people shop based on their personality. She included Coles, Woolies, Aldi, Costco, Harris Farm and IGA.

Woolworths also has its own TikTok account that regularly posts hilarious yet informative videos about the store features.
