Thomas Markle, Meghan Markle's estranged father, was reportedly taken to the hospital in the middle of the night after suffering what may have been a stroke.

It was reported that the former Hollywood lighting director intended to travel to the United Kingdom the following week in order to participate in the celebrations commemorating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

According to reports, Thomas Markle suffered a "major stroke" while he was in Mexico, and he needed to be transported across the border to San Diego as soon as possible.

It is believed that Thomas has lost the ability to communicate verbally as a result of the incident, which comes after he experienced a previous health scare.

When their father became ill on Monday, Meghan's half-brother Thomas Markle Jr. was with him, and Samantha Markle, the eldest Markle sibling, is believed to be flying in from Florida to be with their father as well.

In a statement, Samantha offered her father her best wishes for a speedy recovery, saying: "My father is recovering in hospital. We ask for privacy for the family, for his health and wellbeing. He just needs peace and rest. Godspeed. We are praying."

Their 77-year-old dad just needs some rest, she said, and she pointed out how cruel it was to see how much pain and suffering he has endured because of her sister's indifference over the past few years.

Why do media insist on calling her Meghan Markle when she is married and took her husband’s name! Sister Samantha needs to keep her mouth shut,she is a nasty vindictive woman. Thomas Markle is a big man and he has heart problems and now a stroke which I find ludicrous to blame on Meghan.
