This professional cleaner's list of what NOT to buy from the supermarket will save you time and money

There's nothing like a sparkling, clean house to make you feel good, but achieving that level of cleanliness can sometimes be a challenge – especially if you're using the wrong products.

If you're not careful, some common household cleaning products can do more harm than good, leaving surfaces looking dull and streaky.

That is why a professional Aussie cleaner is urging her fellow cleaning enthusiasts to rethink their usual go-to items in the supermarket.

We all want our homes to look and feel sparkling clean, but sometimes it can be hard to achieve the results we want with supermarket cleaning products.

Thankfully, one professional Australian cleaner has taken it upon herself to give some great tips on what NOT to buy from the supermarket when stocking up on cleaning supplies.

Sharing her cleaning tips on TikTok, the professional cleaner revealed that she never uses products like Ajax Spray N’ Wipe, Windex glass cleaner, White King two-in-one mould and soap scum remover, and Easy Off soap scum remover.

The professional cleaner, who owns a cleaning business called Spot On Cleaning Sydney, said that swapping these cleaning items should make cleaning ‘simple, cost-effective, and less toxic’.

Her first suggestion is to swap Ajax Spray N’ Wipe for Morning Fresh dishwashing liquid mixed with water.

She said to mix a small amount of dishwashing soap with water and pour the solution into a spray bottle. She also advised that swapping Windex for the same solution can clean glass surfaces faster.

If you need more tips and tricks to clean windows and glass surfaces faster, we’ve got you covered.

Next, the professional cleaner suggested swapping Easy Off soap scum spray for Bar Keepers Friend. She said that this would be a ‘better alternative’ to remove soap scum and pesky water stains.

Lastly, the young woman recommended using Selleys Rapid Mould Killer instead of the White King two-in-one mould and soap scum spray to easily remove mould and stains.

People flocked to the comments section of her TikTok page to share their experiences while trying out her tips.

One woman wrote: ‘I’ll never go back to a glass cleaner. Agreed that dish soap is so much better and top it off with a window vacuum! I’ll clean windows all day now.’

While another said, ‘Dishwashing liquid is literally so great for cleaning so many things. Surface cleaners only leave a residue when not wiped off after spraying.’

Another user commented that they used her tips the other day, and called her a ‘life saver’.

Good advice for saving good money. Thankyou for these hints.

Pensioners need to find every opportunity possible to save $$'s following the hike in Prescriptions from Jan. 1st.

Some of us were given a small increase on Jan. 1st & then had it & more taken away elsewhere.

I have found over the years windex leaves streaks and really doesn't clean.

I use a mixture of
1 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup dishwashing liquid
2 cups of water

Add to spray bottle
This mixture cleans with ease and leaves you with sparkling and smudge free windows and mirrors, and for some reason they seem to stay cleaner longer

The hardest job in a home is cleaning the oven, then next the shower. Everything else is easy.
Cleaning products or diy cleaning recipes that work - that's what we want.
I find it's best to clean regularly, otherwise the job becomes overwhelming.
Cleaned the oven this morning.
