This Kmart shopper went viral for her creative Christmas tree inspired by a classic children’s book

Every Christmas, people all over the world put up decorated trees in their homes to celebrate the holidays and show their holiday spirit.

While some opt for more traditional evergreen trees, others get a bit creative with their tree selection – using different materials, unique colours, or pop culture-inspired designs.

One Kmart shopper has garnered attention online for her amazing Christmas tree creation, which is based on the classic Dr Seuss story – How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

In a post shared with a popular Facebook group, the woman detailed how she was able to achieve her vision by combining several inexpensive items from different stores.

She said she bought a slim pencil tree online, used chicken wire, and purchased a garland from Kmart to make the tree bend at the top.

She bought the other baubles, including candy canes and cute decorations, from various stores such as Kmart, Spotlight, Myer, and Christmas Elves.

To bring it closer to her theme, the woman also bought Grinch gloves online. Then, she placed a used Santa hat chair cover as the ‘sleeves’ and used the chicken wire to stick the Grinch’s arms on either side of the tree.

The result is an incredibly festive – not to mention eye-catching – centrepiece that looks like the Grinch himself is standing behind it with his arms wrapped around it! How creative!

The woman admitted that she was ‘beyond stoked’ with how it looked when she shared the image online.

She wrote: ‘My Grinchmas/Whoville tree vision came to life thanks to the amazingly cheap garland from Kmart (and reluctant cooperation from the bf).’

‘I’m gobsmacked,’ wrote one person.

Someone else added: ‘This is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen.’

‘I hate the Grinch but this is amazing!’ A third commented while another user shared that this was just the kind of Christmas tree they liked.

More people praised how ‘cool’ the Christmas tree looked.

‘You could sell them!’ One suggested.

Another shared in their excitement and said: ‘This is literally epic. Can you come over and make me one?’

Others were inspired to try and make their own Grinch-inspired Christmas trees, and asked for advice on how to start. Some shared images of their own creative and festive trees.

I should have had one of these trees for years as hubby was always the Christmas Grinch, couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. It was always left to me to make Christmas Christmassy for the kids. ;) 🧑‍🎄🤶🎅🎄🎄
