Say hello to Metro60, an on-demand grocery delivery option that can bring thousands of items from Woolworths stores straight to your door in a single hour.
Metro60 allows customers to browse through hundreds of Woolworths categories and stock up on more than 10,000 grocery items and everyday essentials directly from Woolworths Metro stores. This includes fruit and vegetables, pantry staples, hot chickens, sushi, flowers, and pet food.
The order is then packed and delivered right to your door, with lightning-fast speed – for a flat fee of just $5.
According to the website, you can enjoy free delivery on your first three orders using the app. This offer is valid until the end of this year, 31 December.
The website also claimed that shoppers save up to 3,120 minutes per year if they use the Metro60 app once a week.
To use the service, customers must first download the dedicated mobile application from the App Store or Google Play.
‘We've made paying for your home-delivered groceries as safe as possible. With Apple Pay, your card details are not shared with us. They are kept secure for a seamless and safe payment experience,’ the website’s FAQs explained.
The app was launched last year with the goal of providing door-to-door grocery delivery service in 11 eastern Sydney suburbs. Now, the service caters to over 450 suburbs across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra, and Newcastle.
‘Our grocery delivery network is growing, with more suburbs added every week. Get fresh food, ready-made meals, treats, snacks, and so much more delivered to your door in under 60 minutes,’ the website reads.
You can also link your Everyday Rewards card in the Metro60 app to collect one Everyday Reward point for every $1 spent.

In a statement released by Von Ingram, the Chief Transformation Officer for Woolworths, he said that the service would provide ‘ultra-convenience’ to customers and allow them to save more time.
‘Whether it's a healthy lunch, a dinner solution, or a spread of gourmet cheeses and dips for last-minute entertaining, Metro60 makes it simple for customers to top up their groceries, choose from thousands of products, and have them delivered quickly,’ he shared at the time of the app’s launch.
David Berger, Metro60’s Co-Founder, spoke to reporters, saying, ‘For us, grocery delivery is more than offering a fast and easy way to get groceries to people when they need them. It’s about helping people spend more time doing the things they love.’
Mr Berger also claimed that the app makes ‘grocery runs so much easier’ because it carries the bulk of the work for the shoppers. And it does so with the added convenience of transporting the items within a one-hour delivery window.
Those who have tried the app said that they love the service and expressed their sentiments in reviews online.
‘So happy that I can access super-fast delivery on grocery items that I don’t have to leave the house for,’ one social media user wrote.
Another replied: ‘My groceries arrived within 45 minutes. They were fresh and hot and let me have some healthy food without having to see another human.’
