'This is hilarious': Aussies share their confusion on Kmart's latest ad!

In The Land Down Under, Kmart has reigned as the top budget shopping destination.

As the budget retailer launched some of their latest goods, two famous personalities found themselves in hot water over a recent advertising misstep.

Radio hosts Carrie Bickmore and Fifi Box recently teamed up for a Kmart advert that left many Australians shaking their heads in disbelief.

The duo, famous for their on-air banter and relatable charm, embarked on a supposedly relatable shopping spree at Kmart.

This ad was meant to showcase the retailer's February Living range.

Both Carrie and Fifi entered the store, grabbed a basket, and shopped for new home decor and items for their home.

However, eagle-eyed viewers spotted what they considered a glaring difference between a celebrity endorser and the typical Kmart shopper.

The duo's choice of shopping baskets over trolleys was the first red flag for Aussie viewers.

'I mean, who grabs a basket when shopping at Kmart?' one comment read.

'Amateurs! You should've grabbed a trolley.'

Another chimed in, 'Rookies. Where's the dual shopping trolleys?'

As the ad progressed, Carrie and Fifi went through the store's aisles, looking at the items from the new February Living range.

The duo eventually settled for a few items: two small vases, a green resin jug, and a cushion.

Carrie paid a total of $23, while Fifi paid $14 for her jug.

Their minimal haul also left many Australians scratching their heads.

Several shoppers shared about the everyday experience of leaving a Kmart with more items than initially intended.

'Tell me you don't shop at Kmart without telling me,' a shopper commented sarcastically.

'Came out with a cushion and a vase.'

'This is hilarious. These two do not shop at Kmart,' another chimed in, echoing other shoppers' sentiments.

The ad's authenticity led shoppers to question Kmart's choice of partners.

'As if these two shop at Kmart,' a third added.

Despite the criticism aimed at Carrie and Fifi, their love for Kmart remained strong.

Shoppers shared their excitement over the retailer's new homewares.

Standout items like the Marlo Lounge Chair ($99) were hailed as a budget-friendly alternative to a designer brand's $949 chair.

While the advert split shoppers' opinions, some still declared to 'run, don't walk' to their nearest Kmart.

The advert should be a reminder that authenticity is key when it comes to celebrity endorsements.

While the jury may still be out on whether the duo are true Kmart aficionados, it meant that Australians know their Kmart shopping habits well.
