This duck ran a marathon and won a medal!​

Two years ago, Wrinkle the Duck captured the hearts of hundreds with her impressive debut at the New York City Marathon. But it appears that Wrinkle's love for running didn't stop there...

It undertook yet another marathon in 2022, and managed to score a medal! Adorned in her distinctive red shoes, Wrinkle happily waddled through the course and even treated onlookers to an adorable burst of speed near the end of the line. ‘I watched a duck run a race and cross the finish line,’ the announcer can be heard saying at the time, as the crowd cheered and shouted. I have run a few marathons in my younger years. Not seen a real duck do this.
I did see a fellow run the Gold Coast marathon in Qld some 30 plus years ago. Can’t think of his name, but he was the owner of the “Run on Down”, I think, at Enoggera in Brisbane.
It was hard enough work without the duck suit.
