One Facebook user put the stones to the test, covering her stove splashback with them.
'Did my stove splashback with the Kmart paving stones,' she wrote on a post in the Kmart Home Decor & Hacks Australia Facebook group, along with photos of the project.
The woman said she used two packs of stones to cover her splashback.
'I glued them on individually and waited 24 hours before applying the grout,' she shared.
Once the grout was applied, she revealed that she let it dry for 36 hours before applying two coats of sealer and rounding the edges with silicone.
The results are impressive - the surface is apparently easy to clean with no food or oil residue. Of course, you won’t be able to use your stove while it dries.
