This designer's baking fail breaks the internet: ‘I’m so proud’

When we think of fashion designers, we often imagine them crafting beautiful garments, setting trends, and living a life draped in fabrics and colours.

Natalie Mills, a designer known for her stunning statement headbands and affordable luxury accessories, reminded us that even the most stylish individuals can have their off days.

In a tale that's now taking the internet by storm, Mills decided to venture into the realm of baking, which led to a viral sensation.

Her attempt at making sugar cookies using an ALDI box mix turned into a comedy of errors that has left social media users in fits of laughter.

With her daughters by her side, Mills set out to create what she hoped would be a delightful batch of sugar cookies.

However, the result was far from the sweet treat depicted on the box.

Instead, the cookies emerged from the oven bearing an uncanny resemblance to something entirely different—raw chicken breasts.

The fashion designer took to social media to share her baking misadventure.

‘I don't share often,’ she quipped.

The post quickly captured the attention of online users, with one person commenting, 'I see raw chicken,' followed by a cascade of similar reactions.

It's not every day that cookies are mistaken for poultry, but Mills' culinary creation managed to blur the lines in the most unexpected way.

Despite the shock and confusion, Mills didn't let the baking blunder dampen her spirits.

She embraced the humorous side of the situation, declaring herself an 'amazing baker' and an artist whose work might not be understood by everyone.

‘Baking is a form of art not everyone understands,’ she jokingly declared.

Her tongue-in-cheek attitude and the peculiar appearance of her cookies sparked a wave of comments and laughter from her followers.

Mills even joked about saving the cookies for a special occasion and teased the possibility of entering them into the 'IS IT CAKE' competition, where they might just fool the judges with their chicken-like appearance.

‘Which baker can make cookies look like chicken breasts? I'm so proud!’ she joked.

The internet's reaction to Mills' baking disaster was a mix of amusement and friendly advice.

‘Do not by any means give up your real day job!’ one follower urged while another advised: ‘Practice does eventually make perfect.’

While baking blunders like Mills’ story can give off a good laugh, some instances need to be taken seriously.

Case in point: A woman ordered a custom cake for her boyfriend’s birthday from professional bakers, but it turned out differently than she expected. You can read more about the story here.

can someone please tell me why so many Australians call BISCUITS cookies. and why people rave over Aldi? I'm sick of hearing Aussies sound like demented Yanks and I've only been into Aldi twice and won't be going back .They a advertised a cordless mouse on special day and it turned out they'd sold them all bar one a WEEK before.

I think this site gets a kick back from Aldi. I also don't understand why a store that even advertises it isn't the 1 stop store for shoppers sellers products that it compares to the premium brand but not the house brand equivalent. Obviously on that they will always be the cheaper. The entire profit of the organisation goes back to the pockets of the German family that owns the business. Only thing they do is provide retail opportunities and some basic skills in low end jobs. Pretty much like macdonalds, just a starting job for many. The quality of the 'special buys' is far from high end. Get what you pay for and that potentially means they'll last for as long as the warranty covers then clap out.

There are a lot of consumers who revere Aldi. It's no secret that the profits go back to the German Albrecht family. Even the shareholders belong to the family members. Nothing wrong with that, except it's not an Australian company. They always advertise comparisons to products with other competitors, except they never compare their products with competitor's homebrands. I like/buy some Aldi products, however I would never need a trolley when shopping there.

You should have bought some Aldi wholegrain jasmine rice and received a bonus mouse free of charge....

People cry about Aldi being German owned.

The same people who drive a VW Golf, watch an LG television, use a Apple iPhone, heat food in Panasonic inverter microwave, etc? Those companies' profits go offshore as well!

Where is your whinging now? Damn hypocrites!
I don't own any on that list ... so I must be exempt being a whinger. :ROFLMAO:
Nothing wrong with people shopping at Aldi if they want.

I agree with your point about ALDI comparisons. The other stores/Coles/Woolworths items are known name brands while ALDI's items are all ALDI generic items.

It might be more fair to compare 'home brand' items to the ALDI generic items.
