This clever cooking trick will remove excess grease from your dishes - you won't believe how easy it is!

We all know that greasy food can be delicious. After all, there’s nothing like a big plate of bacon and eggs to start the day! But sometimes, too much grease can really ruin a dish. However, as we all know, as we get older, it seems that our bodies just can't handle all the grease and fat like they used to when we were younger - it's not very good for our health either.

So what's a person to do? Well, one grandma has come up with a nifty little cooking trick that will help remove all that excess grease from your dish - meaning you can enjoy all your favourite meals without having to worry about the consequences!

Babs, who is known for sharing 'motherly advice' on her popular TikTok account ‘Brunch with Babs’, recently shared a video in which she reveals her clever little tip.

‘You will never have to worry about greasy sauce or gravy again,’ she captioned the clip. In it, she shows how she uses a spoon ladle filled with ice and lets it sit just in the sauce for a few moments.

‘The cold from the ice is going to attract all that grease,’ she explains, before lifting the ladle out to show the ladle now ‘coated with grease’. She then uses a paper towel to clean it off and says to repeat the process a few times. If you want to see how it works for yourself, watch the video below!

Her video was flooded with over 600 comments from amazed viewers thanking her for her advice and calling her tip a 'game changer'.

‘Good idea, grease hurts my stomach,’ was one appreciative response.

While another wrote: ‘Genius. That is a really good tip.’

There were a few commenters who weren't quite convinced the trick was even necessary.

‘Nooooo! Not the FLAVOUR!’ was one funny comment.

‘But I love the grease!’ another said.

We can see where the grease lovers are coming from, grease is truly where the flavour comes from! However, I think this tip will come in handy when there’s just that little bit too much grease. What do you think, members? Will you be giving this tip a try? Let us know in the comments below.

Pour off excess oils into small container and use that to fry bread later or brekky next day. Slightly stale or one day old bread is best!
