These prisoners were tasked to rehabilitate… animals?
Normally, one would think convicted felons struggle with love or empathy. But in this prison, rehabilitation comes with a strange twist. The MuttMates/MeowMates program gives strays and inmates a second chance at home. ‘Nothing has changed me more than caring for these animals,’ one inmate described.
