The Tow
A motorist in a remote little county village came across an old lady
laboriously pushing her bicycle up a steep hill. " Let me help you" he said
and got out a length of rope and attached the bicycle to the car. "If I go
too fast, just ring your bell" he told her. They set off but soon he
forgot about the bike and put his foot down.
A police officer spotted them go past and hurriedly rang the control room.
"There's a mad fool tearing along the country roads at 70 mph" he said.
"But that's not all. There's an old woman ringing her bell to get past and
he won't pull over."
