Lilibet, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter, may finally meet her namesake, Queen Elizabeth, on the child's first birthday this weekend.
Lilibet, whose name was chosen to honour the Queen's childhood nickname, will accompany her parents and brother Archie on their trip to the United Kingdom for Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee celebration.
After leaving their positions as members of the royal family in March of 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will soon have the opportunity to see a significant portion of the rest of the royal family for the first time since that time.
They are expected to attend a number of events during the four-day Jubilee holiday, which begins on Thursday, but the details of which events they will attend have yet to be confirmed.
Until the day of or hours before the event, not even the monarch's presence will be made official by the authorities.

On the other hand, it is anticipated that the Queen, who turned 96 in April, will be front and centre at the Trooping the Colour ceremony that will take place at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.
Instead of travelling to the Horse Guards Parade, the monarch will take the royal salute from the balcony during the event, also known as the Queen's official birthday parade.
During that portion of the festival, the Queen will be represented by the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge, and the Princess Royal.
Following that, she will be surrounded by working members of her family on the balcony.
Those who will not be included on the balcony are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Prince Andrew.
However, Prince Harry and Meghan will be reunited with the Queen the following day at a Thanksgiving Service at St Paul's Cathedral.
They plan to bring Archie and Lilibet to Windsor Castle to meet the monarch the following day, Saturday, June 4 – their daughter's first birthday.
According to The Telegraph UK, a change of plans to Her Majesty's schedule during the Jubilee means that she will be free to meet Lilibet and the Sussexes on Saturday.
The publication's sources have informed them that the Queen does not intend to attend the Epsom Derby on the same day and that instead, Princess Anne will be travelling in her place.
It would mean that the Queen could now meet her great-granddaughter Lilibet for the first time, as well as her three-year-old great-grandson Archie, whom she hasn't seen since he was born in 2019.

It is believed that the Queen's mobility issues were a factor in her decision to skip the Epsom Derby this year.
Since then, her three horses have been removed from the competition.
In addition, it is anticipated that the Queen will be absent from the evening performance of the Platinum Party at the Palace concert that is scheduled to take place at Buckingham Palace on the same day. Instead, the monarch is planning to observe the event via television while she is in Windsor.
According to The Daily Mail, the Queen wishes to make the Jubilee less about herself and more about the monarchy as a whole.
"Her Majesty is typically very keen that the Platinum Jubilee be a celebration not of herself and her own longevity, but of the institution of the monarchy and the people that support and sustain it," an insider told The Daily Mail.
"It is also a chance for people to come together after a very difficult period for this country. She doesn’t want anything to overshadow it—and that includes any family issues."
