Love. Love. Love this! I am an avid senior dog collector via rescue! I see so many beloved dogs being surrendered due to their owners not being able to take care of them any longer. It’s a heartbreaking situation for both pupper and owner and we need POOP’s program Australia Wide!! I can’t thank you enough for this amazing work that you doThanks must go to SDC official Tricia who very kindly reduced the byte size of these photos so that they can be published here. The event was held on Easter Saturday at the Bohemia Brew Cafe in Vasse WA. IT was a fund raiser and we asked a small fee from the many people who came with their children and dogs to have their photos taken with the Easter Bunny (yours truly) the suit was rather warm but I survived the two hours plus and everyone had a good time. POOPS stands for Pets of older persons and the money will pay for vet bills for the older dog owners in the Busselton WA area. I am actually almost 87 now but I really love dogs and the help we give to the less fortunate people amongst us.
There is a big original POOPS group in Perth WA with around 1000 members but in Busselton we have 150 members walking 50 dogs. I really don't know why other states do not have a similar group.Love. AWL in Queensland has a Golden Hearts Programme where senior animals and senior people are married together so neither one will be lonely. They also have a Legacy Pet programme where if, God Forbid, you die or get seriously ill you cannot take care of your beloved pets, AWL will foster the animals and find loving homes for them. I think the POOP programme is great as well.Love. Love. Love this! I am an avid senior dog collector via rescue! It was rather restrictive inside that head and as it was a warm day I had two refrigerator ice blocks in a bag at my front and I wore a cycling shirt with two ice blocks in the pockets at the back. When we do a similar event at Christmas called Santa Paws my head only has a beard to worry about.Hey @Oaklegs ! I didn't know you were the one in the bunny costume! Now I love you even more!
