The Ozzie And Harriet Show

I think I had a crush on Ricky Nelson at one time .

Ozzie married band singer Harriet Hilliard in 1935. They had two sons, David (born in 1936) and Eric (known as Ricky, born in 1940). The couple remained married until Ozzie's death in 1975. His grandchildren include actress Tracy Nelson and musicians Matthew and Gunnar Nelson.

The show was filmed in their own house

Loved this show, and a lot of other shows in that era.

I don't know this show, as looking at the year, it was just prior to my parents buying a telly. I loved kids shows.. Play School, Adeventure Island, Banana Splits...Flintstones and many other cartoons at the time! Loved Bonanza...huge crush on Michael Landon! Any of the music programs.. Bandstand Young Talent Time(loved Jamie Redfern) Partridge Family .... ANOTHER HUGE CRUSH David Cassidy) Shang a Lang with Bay City Rollers.. yet again HUGE crushes! Countdown...gosh old Molly is still going! So many great comedy shows.. Benny Hill...always made me laugh...don't make em like they used to! We have so many channels to choose from these days. Back in my era only had 2 channels ABC and as I lived in northern NSW we had Tamworth channel.. back when we actually got out of our chair to change the channel!

I used to watch this when I was maybe 7 and 8 so late 60s . I also watched all the shows you mentioned and all in the beginning to mid 70s .

Benny Hill late 70s and early 80s that was my husband's favourite comedian , I remember when I met him when we were still teenagers he wouldn't miss a show, I actually didn't like Benny Hill

Haha...hubby does sound like a keen Benny Hill fan! I just loved the silly songs and the end bit with camera sped up and the silly music! A fave show I watched with my parents and older sis. Benny Hill apparently lived a quiet life and was rather shy!
