The Out-House
Another oldie....
Two boys fooling around in the field decided it would be fun to knock over the old out-house
They placed themselves either side of it and started a rocking motion that slowly leaned the out-house further and further off centre until finally it rocked over enough to loose balance and dropped onto it side.
The boys raced off quickly so as not to be seen.
As the sun was going down the boys decided to head back home for dinner
When they arrived they were greeted by their father who didnt look happy.
He asked the boys "where you two boys playing in the field today?"
The boys answered "Yes"
The father then said "And were you near the old out-house?"
The boys answered "Yes"
The father then asked "Did you knock over the old out-house?"
The boys answered "Oh no father, we wouldnt do that"
The father looked at them sternly and repeated "Did you knock over the old out-house?
Again the boys denied it
The father then said "Remember George Washington when he cut down the cherry tree told the truth and wasnt punished.... I will give you one last chance to answer truthfully"
"Did you push the old out-house over?"
The boys looked down and shuffled their feet, then said "Yes father, we did push the old out-house over"
The father then proceeded to whip the hides off the boys
The boys screamed in pain and said "George Washington didnt get punished for telling the truth when he chopped down the cherry tree"
The father said "George Washington's father wasnt in the damn cherry tree"
