The Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur leave viewers in stitches during live segment

Tune in to The Morning Show on any given weekday, and you'll be entertained and informed with a unique blend of humour and news.

The show is popular with many Aussies, in part due to the dynamic relationship hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies share with each other.

Like many friendships, they clearly understand each other more than they do anyone else—so well, in fact, that they often share private jokes based on anecdotes and stories from each other.

And, recently, that's exactly what happened: during a segment about the mischievous cockatoos that broke into an Australian hotel room, Kylie and Larry got themselves into a bit of a pickle that left Larry near tears—and plenty of viewers in deep laughter!

The segment focused on the viral video on social media of two holiday-goers, one of whom had left their balcony door open and allowed cockies to seemingly take over their room and cause a bit of a mess.

The 'aftermath' revealed the chaotic state of the couple's room, where everything had been turned upside down. Interestingly, the woman's bikini bottoms were discovered later on the roof of the hotel car park!

'A couple of crazy cockatoos have run riot inside a Hamilton Island hotel room. The brazen birds left behind a trail of destruction after two holiday-goers left their balcony door open,' reported Larry.

'The cockies pulled clothes from suitcases, rummaged through food and messed up all over the beds!'

After the footage played, Larry cheekily asked Kylie if she had ever had the experience of a cockatoo in her own hotel room.

Kylie smiled but soon fell silent, seemingly at a loss for words. Her reaction was a brief mixture of confusion and a forced laugh, all while Larry couldn't contain his hysterical laughter. 'No... not... no, never,' she replied.

'Never?' Larry pushed, to which Kylie responded, 'You're really bad... not in a long time.'

The joke was all in good fun, but it had an unexpected consequence: Larry was so taken over by the joke's hilarity that he was close to tears by the time Kylie had regained her composure.

It's not every day you see Larry Emdur close to tears!

We all know cockies can be destructive little so and so's. Really it's hard to imagine that just a couple of our feathered friends could cause such a mess. You do have to laugh at it even though if it happened to me I'd be devastated lol I wonder how you'd go filling in an insurance claim form ????

You really don't want to know about her last trip to the gynaecologist;
checking her aviaries was quite tricky, if you know what I mean.....
