The Hubbard Glacier
Unfortunately the only way to view these massive Alaskan glaciers is by cruise ships. However, there are six thousand of them, so it takes a while. This is the Hubbard Glacier. It is 120 meters high, 10 kilometers wide and 122 kilometers long. It moves forward at the rate of two meters per day, so is always dropping huge lumps into the ocean. It is actually getting larger. Only one ship at a time is allowed to approach it, and only for a limited time.
