The HASSLE-FREE hack for cleaning filthy oven racks using a COMMON HOUSEHOLD ITEM

How frustrating is it to try and clean oven racks, when the grime is caked on and just won't budge? No matter how much elbow grease you apply and how many expletives slip now, that crud is just not moving!

So, if you're looking for ways to get rid of the filth from your oven racks without breaking a sweat, then we have just the solution!

A busy renter has taken to Facebook to share her easy hack for cleaning her dirty oven racks.

In her post, the mum revealed that she soaked the filthy oven racks in a bath of hot water mixed with three dishwasher tablets for two hours, claiming that the method instantly wiped "the muck" off without the need for intense scrubbing and left the racks looking like new again.

The woman also admitted that she was desperately trying to clean the racks as inspection day approaches.

She said that she was attempting to try the tip she saw that requires washing powder and Napisan. But, she did not have the cleaning products at her disposal.

'Day before an inspection I didn't have either on hand so I thought let's try these dishwasher tablets grandma gave me,' she said.

In a fortunate turn of events, the woman thought of using the dishwasher tablets that she was keeping for situations that "might come in handy".

"Just with a scourer and light scrubbing almost all of the muck came off except for what was in the hard to scrub edges," she said, confessing that she was surprised by how effective the dishwasher tablets are for cleaning the racks.

The mum also suggested using a tub for the job as you will be needing some space when you scrub the racks.

'The 24-litre tubs should work the same,' she said.

Laundry sink - hot water - generous cup of vinegar. Place in racks and side pieces. Leave to soak. Wipe shining oven pieces dry with a tea towel which will remain clean.
Just wish there was a way to soak the walls and floor of the stove.
Love the vinegar idea and SOOOO much cheaper than dishwasher tablets (especially if you do not have a dishwasher)
