The Block 2022: Most expensive houses in the show's history have officially hit the market
- Replies 1
Folks, are any of you here fans or avid watchers of Nine Network's TV series The Block?
To those who are unfamiliar with the show's premise, it follows four or five couples (the exact number varies from season to season) competing to renovate and style a house or apartment so that they can sell it at auction for the highest possible price.
The eighteenth season of the television show debuted at the beginning of last month, and it appears that the show's creators are eager to capitalise on the trend of people relocating to rural areas during and after the pandemic.
Gisborne, which is located in Victoria, was chosen as the location for filming The Block 2022, and the show made sure that the candidates had ample land to play and work with.

Their job is to turn the huge 79-acre site at 207 McGeorge Rd, Gisborne, which is said to have been cut up into seven 10-acre lots and has a creek running through it, into high-end and luxurious rural sanctuaries.
Several months have passed since the production of the show, and it is reported that the five homes from The Block 2022 have already made their way onto the market.
All this time, the candidates (Tom and Sarah-Jane, Rachel and Ryan, Ankur and Sharon, Dylan and Jenny, Omar and Oz) have been hard at work turning a collection of country homes into someone's great Australian dream.
The teams are currently working on the largest houses ever renovated on the show, so there is still a lot to accomplish. For the time being, though, prospective buyers and real estate enthusiasts can get a better look at the residences by checking out their respective listings.
The estimated range for each home's asking price is $4 million to $4.4 million. According to the website Domain, the current median price of a house in Gisborne is $1,100,000.
Here are all of the homes listed on the website, for the benefit of our members there who might be interested in having a closer look:
