The Allotment
Two ladies were chatting over the garden fence when one enquires
she hasn't seen the others husband for over a week.
"Och l sent him down the allotment to get me a big cabbage for the tea
and when he hadn't come back after an hour I went to find him
and there he was lying dead among the cabbages"
"Mother of God whatever did you do then?" enquired her friend
"Och I just had to go back home and open a tin of peas"
