The 10 hairdryer hacks that will blow (yes, blow) your mind - from crayon removal to clothing de-wrinkling!

Okay, everyone knows how to use a hairdryer. But did you know, it can do so much more than just simply drying your hair?

Well, believe it or not, these handy tools can actually do everything from removing dust in hard to reach areas, to removing crayon marks (great for those with grandkids!) and even remove sticker residue (we’ve all been there, when stickers have been put in places we’d rather they weren’t!).

Check out 10 of the best hairdryer hacks that’ll make your life a little easier…

1. Remove Dust From Hard-To-Reach Places

You can use your hairdryer to remove dust from hard-to-reach places like ceiling fans (just be careful with this one folks, it does get dust everywhere so be prepared and get the vacuum ready) and high shelves.

Just turn your hairdryer on to the lowest setting and hold it close to the surface you want to clean. The dust will be drawn to the hairdryer's airflow and will be removed in no time. As easy as that, you won't need to extend your arms or bend your body!

2. Dry Toiletries Before Packing

If you're about to go on a trip, you can use your hairdryer to dry your toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and soap. This will prevent them from wetting the inside of your bag and will also help them last longer by reducing waste!

This could be helpful if you'd decide to take a shower before a long drive or flight and don’t want all your toiletries dripping wet... A dry suitcase sounds appealing, right?

3. Use it to remove crayon marks

If your grandkids vandalise your walls with crayons, you can use your hairdryer to remove the marks. Just point the hairdryer towards the crayon marks and let the heat melt the wax.

Then wipe the area with a clean cloth afterward and the crayon marks will be gone (amazing, right?) You can also use this hack to get rid of candle wax drips too. Handy, huh? I bet you wish you knew this sooner!

4. De-Wrinkle Your Clothes

If you need to wear your clothes but they're all wrinkled, you can use your hairdryer to get rid of the wrinkles, no need to get that iron out, especially if you’re in a rush!

Just hang your clothes in the bathroom, turn on your hairdryer, spray the wrinkled areas with a little bit of water, and point the hairdryer towards the wrinkles.

The heat from the hairdryer will help remove the wrinkles instantly! Just like that! You can also use this hack to get rid of wrinkles on your bedsheets, curtains, and even furniture without needing an iron or ironing board.

5. Remove Stickers Residue

Removing stickers is a hassle and is often annoying. But here's good news for you, if you need to remove stickers from any surface, you can use your hairdryer to make the process easier. Just turn on your hairdryer and hold it close to the sticker.

The heat will cause the adhesive to loosen, and the sticker can be removed with a simple wipe. You can also use this hack to remove price tags from new clothes or items.

6. Make Your Makeup Last Longer

If you want your makeup to last longer, you can use your hairdryer to set it in place. Just hold your hairdryer about 30 cm away and let the airflow lightly hit your face.

7. Unclog Your Drain

If your drain is starting to get clogged, you can use your hairdryer to unclog it. Just fill your sink with hot water and place your hairdryer at the edge of the sink pointing down the drain.

Just be extra careful to NOT put your hairdryer in the water or in a position where it could fall into the water. As we all know, that is extremely dangerous and can cause electrocution, so pop the hairdryer up on a bowl or bucket!

8. Defrost Your Freezer

If you need to defrost your freezer quickly, you can use your hairdryer to help speed up the process. Just turn on your hairdryer and point it towards the frozen areas. The heat from the hairdryer will help melt the ice quickly.

If you want to sanitise your beauty tools like brushes and combs, your hairdryer is your new best friend! First, dip your brush or comb into a bit of soapy water, pat them dry with a towel, and then turn on your hairdryer and hold it close (but not too close) to the tools for about 30 seconds. The heat from the hairdryer will help kill the bacteria and will also help dry the tools quickly.

If you buy the "My Eyes" to tighten up the bags and wrinkles, waiting for it to dry is a real pill, and waving a fan makes my eyes water.
But using the hair-dryer for a few seconds is the best way to set it and get going- not on hot, just warm!
