Although there are countless burger recipes on the internet, this one has a one-of-a-kind twist that will take the beloved dish to a whole new level. It’s not made with chicken or beef, but instead… Drum roll please, salmon! So, if you’re looking for a new way to enjoy burgers, then consider this your lucky day.
One popular chef on TikTok, also known as @chef_boydbrownthe3rd, demonstrated how to whip up a delicious salmon burger with little effort. It won the hearts of thousands that it was hailed ‘the best’ on the platform!

Here are the ingredients you need for the salmon patty:
1. Salmon
2. Shallots or onions
3. A tablespoon of Dijon mustard
4. A tablespoon of dill
5. Zest from a whole lemon
6. A tablespoon of honey
7. A cup of bread crumbs
8. Lettuce
9. Tomato
And the ingredients you need to make the herb mayo sauce:
1. Mayonnaise
2. Sour cream
3. Worcestershire sauce
4. Chives
5. Parsley
6. Zest from one half of a lemon
7. Olive oil
8. Lemon juice

Chef Boyd starts by removing the skin from one kilo of salmon and dicing it into small pieces.
‘We’re not making baby food, so dice it like this.’ he said before showing the viewers what the salmon bites should look like.
He transfers the salmon into a bowl and adds diced shallots, Dijon mustard, dill, lemon zest, honey, and bread crumbs. Then, he mixes the ingredients thoroughly with his hands before moving on with the sauce.
In a separate bowl, he combines some mayonnaise, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, chives, parsley, zest, and lemon juice. He stirs the mixture with a spoon and adds a few drops of olive oil.
He proceeds by forming his patties with a ring mould and placing them in a frying pan on high heat with butter. He sprinkles a dash of salt on top of each patty and leaves them to cook for three minutes on each side.

The chef then toasts two pairs of buns, adds a generous scoop of the herb mayo on each side, and assembles the salmon burger.
Starting with a bottom bun that’s smeared with the sauce, he stacks lettuce, tomato slices, the salmon patty, and onions, and tops it all off with the other bun. Bon appetit!
