I can go into several shops in Qld and show my Seniors card and get a discount. Why does this not apply at the checkout counters of the main supermarkets? Even a 5% discount would help in these trying times, when your onluy income is a very low pension.

Good Morning @nlmcs00 we are right with you on this one! We've been advocating for this one for a while, but haven't had much luck. Woolies did announce a discount to NSW customers over 60, but it hasn't been rolled out nation-wide which is ridiculous. We also want Coles to make the same offer too, which they don't seem to have any kind of offer at all nation-wide.

As our community grows we will continue to advocate for bigger retailers like Coles and Woolworths to offer discounts but it just takes time! In the meantime, we highly recommend checking out our eBook for where you can get a Senior Card Discount and also, just asking whatever shop you shop in whether they accept it! We've actually had members let us know that they have had their senior card accepted in stores that do not advertise they accept them, so it's always good to ask!
