Text Scam Warning​

Hello members!

I'm sharing this on behalf of member Barry O. who kindly advised us of this scam.

'A new scam (I think), trying to get people to click on the link which is probably a virus or trojan. I received this yesterday - the sender knew my name & the name of the suburb where I live. The number it was sent from is displayed so I tried to call it. Couldn't call from my service.'

Members, please be careful. While this has not been confirmed to be a scam, it certainly sounds like it is.

Never click suspicious links, especially from an unknown number.

I actually received a scam email last week!!
Said I needed to report to my nearest police station, as there is a warrant out for my arrest…
Just been on the safe side I called into the police station…no warrant out for my arrest…just another scam doing the rounds!!

Yeah I just got an email from the Police that said a complaint had been made about me, still laughing
