TEMU Scam?​

Hi Members!

I just wanted to raise this scam with everyone. We had member Peter S. email us the below experience he had with TEMU. I'd love to know what everyone else's experiences have been? I have personally never dealt with nor bought with them before, but I have seen them on the cashback shopping app called 'Shop Back'. It looks like maybe they are scammers? Here is Peter S' story below:

'A couple of months back I decided to buy a five in one Welding machine from their website, so go through all the process, they take my money from my NAB account, they send shipping documents, these are all in Chinese language so have to process into English, two weeks wait for product, all good, time goes by still NO product, contact them, sorry sorry they say, two more weeks still no product, message again, couple days later package turns up, it’s a SILK SKARFE ! I send message again, get back some story about shipping mix up, then we go into messages back and forth re issue, l then inform my bank, they’ll look into it, which they did, finally got my money back only after threatening them.'

I sent to Temu only last week thinking it was genuine. I paid for those 'phone bags, as Christmas gifts. I noticed once I had given my bank information I never received a receipt or anything further. So that is the last time I buy anything other than face on from a shop.
