Telstra not being fair to their customers
Here in the Busselton WA area Telstra use a company called Opticomm as part of their service and recently after many years of service for which I pay $93 every month for free to air TV and the internet we received a letter from Opticomm informing us that the Telstra box at the side of our house was going to be replaced by a new one. This would mean that the Telstra cable to our house would no longer provide free to air TV channels such as 2,7,9 etc. and we would have to instal an antenna on the roof at our own expense. We did that and it cost us $510 so I began waging war on Telstra via their complaints department and after a dispute they have now reimbursed our money. There are many other people in this area who are experiencing the same treatment and two have followed my advice and got their money back but Telstra are 'letting sleeping dogs lie' and doing nothing if customers do not complain.
