Who remembers flying with TAA? Trans Australian Airways was one of the two major Australian domestic airlines offering a journey filled with unparalleled hospitality. It took flight in 1946 and was later renamed Australian Airlines in 1986, but it ceased operations after being acquired by Qantas in 1992. Who can forget their jingle in the late 60s? Do you have fond memories of flying with TAA?

I remember TAA quite well. Flew to Tom Price WA to live for four years. 1975-79.

Joined TAA in 1970 in Reservations Creek and Adelaide St Brisbane wage 60 dollars per week a good wage at that time. Was there when compter resevations started and had meny teehing problems with that.Somebody forgot to mention that the aircraft held a set amount of passengers very embarraing when every one turned up.New airport 1988 that was a big nove compared to the old airport.Great place to work family type enviroment. The so called merger with Qantas took us back 20 years could not believe that Qantas was so backwrd in doing things compared to TAA Australian .I still wonder how they made money.Even James Strong triedto modenise them .A sad time and demise of a GREAT Airline.Biased yes indeed youhad to be there.Luckily I was .
