Surprise! Woman unexpectedly gives birth to a baby boy just ONE WEEK after positive pregnancy test

Every mother has a unique story to tell about their journey with pregnancy. There are stories of peculiar pregnancy cravings, awful symptoms, or heart-melting baby kick moments – but giving birth only after a week since finding out you’re pregnant? We’ve gotta hand it to the baby, they sure know how to make an entrance!

A 21-year old woman, Teagan Brill, shared the astounding story of how she gave birth to a lovely baby boy only one week after getting a positive pregnancy test. Teagan explained that she didn’t experience a number of the common pregnancy symptoms that most expecting mothers do, including morning sickness, fluctuating hormones, or even a baby bump before she welcomed her baby boy, Owen, who is now a year old.

The new mum shared that a week before the big surprise, she had a phone call with her now-husband Mitchell Brill, saying she was either ‘getting fat or pregnant’. He suggested that she should take a pregnancy test, which then confirmed their suspicions, but she believed to be only one to three months along with the pregnancy.

On her due date, she said she suffered from stomach cramps and worried that she might have been having a miscarriage but eventually realised that she was in fact giving birth while on a call with emergency services.

Taegan said in a video that she still had what she initially thought was her period at the time, but later learned it wasn’t the case after consulting with her doctor. Thankfully, Taegan had a smooth delivery and she was even able to wrap her baby boy with a towel before the ambulance arrived at her home.

According to the Journal of the Royal Society of Women, which featured a study on ‘Denial of Pregnancy’, only one in 475 women discover they’re pregnant when they’re already past the 20-week mark. In addition, one in 2,500 will only realise moments away from the actual delivery.

Because Taegan is 6-foot tall, nurses clarified that Owen formed up behind her ribs, which explains why she didn’t detect the pregnancy merely from the growth of her tummy.

In one video, Taegan confessed that she turned 21 while she was six and a half months pregnant and drank alcohol to celebrate as a regular college student would – unknowingly carrying her baby boy at the time. Fortunately, Owen is healthy and free from foetal alcohol syndrome.

In an attempt to shed light on the situation, Taegan answers questions from random users on TikTok. One user asked, “I’m sorry but did he fully just splash into the toilet? How were you not in excruciating pain?”.
To which she replied: “He did not fully splash into the toilet, no.”

“I woke up on a Tuesday morning and I was just not feeling it. I felt like I needed to go to the toilet. I looked down and my hole was huge! It did not feel like a normal sh*t.” she shared in the TikTok video.

“I felt it and it was literally rock hard and I was just like ‘This is a child. This is a child!’ then I pulled him out so he didn’t splash into the toilet – he didn’t hit the toilet.”

Taegan said that throughout the entire process of giving birth, she was on a call with emergency services. She revealed that the ambulance came 5 minutes after she had already given birth to Owen.

The story shocked thousands of users that her video garnered a whopping total of 471.7k views and 47.7k likes.

“YOU PULLED HIM OUT!?” one person commented.

“This is also traumatising but you handled it SO well.” another added.

“This is my biggest fear.” a third said.

Now that’s quite the amazing story. Do you have a shocking pregnancy story? Share it with us in the comments!
