Supermarket shakes up grocery scene with this exciting new offer you can't miss

The Australian supermarket landscape is no stranger to competition. Still, a new player is stepping up its game in a way that could shake the foundations of the retail grocery industry.

This supermarket has been traditionally known as a members-only warehouse club and is popular for its bulk household staples and discount prices.

However, in a bold move likened to ALDI Special Buys on steroids,' they announced it will start offering deliveries to non-members through a partnership with DoorDash.

This game-changing offer is set to challenge the dominance of supermarket giants Woolworths, Coles, and ALDI.

For many Australians, like mum Kimberly Caruso, the struggle to find time for grocery shopping amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life is all too real.

Juggling pick-ups, drop-offs, and work schedules can make a simple trip to the supermarket a logistical nightmare.

But, with Costco's new delivery service, the convenience of online shopping has taken it to the next level.

'I don’t find the time to shop; it’s just wherever I can fit it in between pick-ups, drop-offs–my husband can try to duck out where he can when he’s awake, [but] it can be quite difficult, which is why this has excited me,' Kimberly explained.

She noted that purchasing in bulk is particularly appealing for families looking to stock up on school lunches and other essentials.

Here's how it works: Shoppers can log into the DoorDash app, browse Costco's selection, and select items for delivery straight to their homes on the same day, depending on the order time.

It's a familiar process for anyone who has ordered supermarket deliveries, but now it's available without needing a Costco membership.

Of course, this convenience comes at a price. While Costco has not provided a specific scale for delivery charges and service fees, they will vary based on delivery distance and the number of items ordered.

Non-members can expect to pay slightly higher prices for items than in-store prices, but the trade-off is access to Costco's range without the upfront membership fee.

The service is limited to standard groceries, including fresh produce, meats, and household essentials.

However, Costco has not dismissed the possibility of expanding the service to include other products in the future.

The offer is available to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and Brisbane residents who live within an hour's drive from their local Costco.

For those eager to try out the service, there's an added incentive: customers who spend more than $150 on their first Costco order will receive a $20 discount.

This introductory offer could be the perfect opportunity for savvy shoppers to experience the benefits of bulk buying without a membership commitment.

As we witness the evolution of grocery shopping in Australia, it's clear that convenience and flexibility are becoming increasingly important to consumers.

With Costco's new delivery service, the supermarket wars are heating up, and the customers stand to benefit the most.
