Behold, the sunken lounge room! It was once the heart of many Aussie homes in the '70s. Some people adored it, others scratched their heads—but no one could deny the charm of those cosy conversation pits. It was a time before screens ruled the room, when family and friends gathered just to talk, laugh, and share a cuppa.
