Store closing down: Find out which Aussie retailer is saying goodbye forever!

In a surprising turn of events that has left many Australian shoppers dismayed this chic and furniture store has announced that it will be closing its doors for good.

The announcement has sent ripples through the community of design enthusiasts and loyal customers who have come to appreciate this homegrown brand's unique and stylish offerings.

Known for its commitment to quality and innovative designs, this store has been a staple in the local design scene, making its closure even more poignant.

Gigi&Tom, known for its eclectic mix of furniture and homewares, has inspired those looking to infuse their homes with personality and charm.

The announcement came as a heartfelt message to the store's supporters:

'It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you we are closing our business Gigi&Tom,' the statement read.

'This decision has not been easy, and we deeply appreciate your support over the past three years.'

The founders of Gigi&Tom have expressed their pride in the community and brand they have built but acknowledged the unpredictable journey of entrepreneurship.

Despite their successes, the current business environment has posed significant challenges, making it difficult to secure the necessary investment to keep the start-up afloat.

This closure means a final opportunity for customers to acquire pieces from Gigi&Tom's iconic homewares at discounted prices while supplies last.

The company has assured its clientele that it is not going into administration and that all pre-orders have been fulfilled, indicating a commitment to honouring their obligations until the end.

The closure news has been met with an outpouring of emotion from customers who have formed a special connection with the brand.

'Oh, no...I've bought so many things for my adult granddaughters from you guys,' lamented one customer.

'They absolutely love their quirkiness and so do I. I'm very sad.'

Another customer shared their disappointment, 'So devastated by this! I was hoping to save up for some of your furniture pieces this year.'

The sentiment was echoed by many who had envisioned incorporating more of Gigi&Tom's unique pieces into their homes.

The store, which began in 2021, was the vision of former major department store retail buyer Abbie Evans and was named affectionately after the pets of the female co-founders.

Gigi&Tom stood as a testament to female entrepreneurship and the desire to create a space that truly reflects the individuality of its customers.

As we bid farewell to Gigi&Tom, we are reminded of the importance of supporting local businesses and their impact on our communities.

The closure of such a distinctive retailer is not just the end of a store but the closing of a chapter in Australian retail that championed creativity, quality, and personal expression.

Like many new businesses, this one lasted less than 4 years before closing down. Apart from that, I've never heard of them so the store was probably located in one or 2 suburbs in a city only. Really not worthy of the headline of SDC.

I've never heard of them either.Im thinking 🤔 the only ones who really knew about them were the ones who live in the area.

I just looked on line at their items , not everyone's taste. I liked a few items but not buying anything
