‘This is a little PSA for all the girlies who like to shop at Chemist Warehouse. Don’t forget they will price match and beat other competitors,’ she said. By simply showing the checkout staff the cheaper price at Priceline, making sure the colours matched and confirming stock availability, she was able to get the same products at an even better price.
‘Chemist Warehouse matched the prices and beat it just a little bit.’
According to the official policy, Chemist Warehouse will not only match a competitor’s price if the exact same item is found at another registered pharmacy or retailer with a physical store in Australia, but also offer a further 10 per cent off the difference.
However, there are some conditions. Customers can only purchase up to three units per product under the price match scheme and must present valid proof of the competitor’s price—either from a catalogue or online source—when buying in-store.
Staff may also verify the competitor’s price before applying the discount.
Certain exclusions apply: the price matching does not cover international orders, online-only retailers, items that are out of stock, or those on clearance or discontinued lines.
This means the offer is designed to be fair and practical for both shoppers and the business.
