Some relatable (and hilarious!) technology ‘fails’ that will absolutely make your day!

Let’s face it - although it’s supposed to make our lives easier, sometimes technology can leave us scratching our heads. It’s not easy keeping up with the latest new-fangled tools, and we have to admit that, while we here at the SDC are generally a pretty technically savvy lot, sometimes even we struggle when it comes to learning a new system.

However, our lack of tech skills often leads to some amusing blunders...

These hilarious pictures of seniors making mistakes while using social media have made the rounds across various platforms. Because let's be honest, we can all relate at least a little!

Feel free to laugh along with us, folks!

We've all had that moment when we're trying to update our profile photo on social media, and for one reason or another, it just won't work.

Whether the file is too big, the internet is slow, or there's some other technical issue - it can be really frustrating.

But this person's reaction takes the cake! They were so annoyed at not being able to update their profile pic, they seem to have gotten down on their knees in front of their computer in exasperation!

We can only hope that they were eventually able to solve the problem and get the photo up. Maybe they'll be more successful if they try a different position…

Some of us like to do a bit of buying and selling online, on platforms like eBay or Facebook marketplace. Of course, sellers are required to share photos of the items, and the upload process can often be a little finicky, leading to the occasional mistaken picture being added to a listing…

That's exactly what happened to this unlucky bloke from the UK, who may have been feeling a little red-faced after accidentally uploading a wacky picture of himself along with the photos of the actual item he was selling. Well, they say there’s no such thing as bad publicity, and it certainly got our attention!

Here at the SDC, one of our favourite things about online shopping is browsing through the reviews to see what other people think about the product, but some reviews can certainly be more helpful than others!

Take Peter from the US, for example. He recently wrote a review for a popular online retailer, and his hilarious mix-up has since gone viral.

It seems that Peter mistook the review section for delivery instructions, and his 'helpful' tip has left many people scratching their heads.

We've all had that moment where we see something on our Facebook feed that we really don't want to see. Whether it's a relative ranting about politics or an ex sharing too much about their new partner, it can be frustrating scrolling through your timeline only to be greeted with things you'd rather not think about.

But what if the thing you're seeing too much of on social media is...snakes? Surely that would be enough to send anyone running for the hills!

Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened to one American senior who was struggling to get rid of reptile related posts slithering around on his Facebook feed. The poor soul even went so far as to request the page refrain from posting on their profile page – but sadly, they didn't realise all they needed to do was unfollow the snake page. Oops!

There you have it, folks! Do you find these hilarious fails relatable? Better yet, have you experienced the same struggles online? Share your stories with us in the comments below - we promise we will not judge (but we may have a little giggle).

You will not believe this one.
My husband is totally untek savvy, and I mean totally.
I bought him a basic phone and set it up with speed dial and taped a list to the back of the phone, ie No 1 wife, No 2 daughter, No 3 sister, etc.
One day he said he had been trying to ring me and daughter all day and we didn't answer
Believe it or not, he had been pressing the name on the piece of paper on the back of the phone!!
Hope nobody knows who I am, he'll probably kill me for repeating this.
True story.
