Who here remembers using solvol hand soap back in the day? How about their old commercial, “Wash your hands, Geoffrey, with the Solvol Geoffrey”. Too bad the original solvol soap has been discontinued!

Yes, a pity the company changed to a "liquid" pack, nowhere near as good.
The reason was the companies they had manufacturing the soap, had, because of the abrasiveness of the product, high equipment maintenance costs.
HOWEVER there is a just a good, if not better replacement, an Australian product called "Grit Mitts" , available from Repco Auto Parts.
It is supposed to be environmentally friendly.

Remember this ad well because l know someone with the same name. A great ad.

The same name was used for a another ad where he had to drink milk. 'Drink your milk Geoffrey.'
