Soft drink bottle

Who used to collect soft drink bottles and take them to the shop to cash them in? It was a way for kids to make some extra money back in the day. We were always on the lookout for any old soft drink or when the adults finished their soft drink bottles and raced to the shop with the bottle. ‘Some of the bigger lemonade and soft drink bottles were worth sixpence and I think that the little coke bottles were thruppence’, according to Bob Byrne of Australia Remember When.
