Snow Globe Cookies

Ingredients

Sugar cookie dough – the premade dough works GREAT!

Vanilla frosting Shredded coconut or white sprinkles

Clear ornaments that can be assembled in halves

Small Christmas trinkets, like miniature ornaments, Christmas fondant cupcake toppers, etc.

Baking sheet Parchment paper

Wax paper

Cup or something to cut the cookies to the size to match your clear ornament (sizes will vary)

Directions

Preheat oven to temperature according to the sugar cookie dough you’re using (pre-made dough is usually 350°)

Press sugar cookie dough onto wax paper. If the dough is cold, simply work the dough in your hands because it warms up quickly.

Make the dough about 1/2″ thick.

Use the rim of a cup that is similar in size the clear ornament toppers you must use to create the sugar cookies Keep in mind that the dough will expand during baking

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Bake sugar cookies according to the cookie dough directions (about 10 minutes) Keep in mind that sugar cookies burn QUICKLY! I highly recommend removing them from the oven when the edges turn gold and allow them to cool on the baking sheet… they continue to cook!

Frost the cookies with vanilla/white frosting

Add miniature ornaments to the centre of the cookies

Sprinkle shredded coconut over the trinkets and white frosting Top with a clear ornament! The frosting will keep everything in place.
