Shoppers are freaking out over Kmart's $15 Christmas miracle item – why pay $55 when you can get this?

As the festive season rolls around, it's not just the jingle bells that get us in the holiday spirit but also the delightful scents that evoke memories of Christmases past. For many Australians, setting the scene for a cozy holiday involves lighting a candle that fills the home with the warm, spicy aromas of the season. But with luxury items often coming with a hefty price tag, savvy shoppers are always looking for a bargain that doesn't skimp on quality.

Enter Kmart's 2024 Christmas collection, a treasure trove of holiday delights that has shoppers buzzing with excitement. Among the festive offerings, a standout has been Kmart's range of Christmas candles, priced at an affordable $15. These candles have been causing quite a stir, with many declaring them to be the perfect dupe for the much-loved but pricier Glasshouse Fragrances Candles, which retail for around $54.95.

The Kmart collection features an array of scents designed to cater to every olfactory preference. From the sweet and spicy ginger and vanilla-scented gingerbread candle to the fruity and tart cranberry and pomegranate Christmas botanical candle, there's something to suit every festive mood. The apple and cinnamon Christmas spice candle and the vanilla and cinnamon Christmas cookie candle are also sure to be hit, with their double wicks promising an even burn and maximum fragrance dispersion.

For those looking to add a touch of whimsy to their holiday decor, Kmart also offers a line of $12 candles adorned with charming snow globe lids. These come in three festive fragrances: Christmas cookie with a Santa snow globe, caramel and vanilla with a reindeer snow globe, and apple and cinnamon with a gingerbread house snow globe.

But the festive cheer doesn't stop there. Kmart has made sure that even the most budget-conscious shoppers can partake in the holiday spirit with their $8 candle range. These include a ginger and nutmeg scented candle with a gingerbread man on the lid, a blueberry and vanilla scented candle with a Christmas tree, and a tangerine and berry scented candle with a red bow. These are perfect for Secret Santa gifts or as a little treat for yourself without breaking the bank.

The buzz around these candles has been amplified by several TikTok content creators, such as Georgia Brown (@georgiabrown916), who have showcased Kmart’s Christmas range and endorsed the candles as comparable to the high-end Glasshouse brand. The response from followers has been overwhelmingly positive, with many raving about the quality and affordability of the candles. Comments like 'They have a Christmas cookie one and it smells amazing' and 'The rum and fruit one smells amazing' are a testament to the candles' appeal.

However, as with all things, not everyone is on board the Kmart candle train. Some shoppers have expressed their dissatisfaction, finding the scents to be less than luxurious. Comments such as 'I don’t like any Kmart candles. They all smell cheap and rank' and 'Last year, everyone raved about them, and I thought they were all horrible' highlight that scent preference is highly subjective.

Despite the mixed reviews, the excitement surrounding Kmart's Christmas candles is undeniable. For those who love to indulge in festive fragrances without the splurge, these candles are a Christmas miracle. They prove that you don't have to spend a fortune to enjoy the little luxuries that make the holiday season so special.

$54 for a candle 😮 I buy half a dozen $3 candles from Woolies every fortnight, they smell lovely, granted they are not fancy looking like the Kmart ones but they do us.
$15 isn't bad though but still out of our price range for just a candle!
