Shoppers are amazed with this game-changing $5 Kmart find that transforms kitchen organisation

Keeping your kitchen organised can feel like an endless battle for many homemakers.

Drawers and cupboards often descend into messy chaos, and sorting out cutlery is a notoriously troublesome task.

But Kmart may have just launched an incredibly affordable solution—leaving shoppers amazed at how it can transform their kitchen storage.

Kmart’s $5 Slimline Cutlery Tray, a recent addition to their February Home Living range, has garnered praise from organisation enthusiasts and cost-conscious shoppers alike.

Its ingenious design and affordability are stealing the show, presenting it as a budget-friendly alternative to pricier counterparts sold in upscale homeware stores—with some comparing it to almost identical trays like those from renowned brand Joseph Joseph, which retails at $34.95.

'Are these dupes for the Joseph Joseph ones?' a curious shopper asked on a social media post showcasing the find.

'These are fabulous, and a fraction of the cost of the originals,' another impressed buyer affirmed.

The clever design departs from the traditional full vertical sections for each type of cutlery.

Instead, the Kmart tray features cleverly angled compartments that layer atop one another, allowing you to store a full set of cutlery in almost half the space.

A customer exclaimed, 'Kmart drawer organiser to the rescue. I'm impressed!'

Their testimony was complemented by a photo illustrating how neatly three of these trays can fit within a single drawer.

For many, this Kmart gem is the ultimate solution to that one notoriously messy drawer everyone seems to have.

'I need this in my life,' one replied.

'I am running to get them,' another commented.

It’s not just within the boundaries of homes that this product has made waves; it has also found a niche among the space-saving demands of caravan owners and camping enthusiasts.

The trays’ compact and efficient use of space makes them an ideal accessory for the tight confines of mobile or outdoor living.

The discussion around the Slimline Cutlery Tray does not end with its popularity and affordable pricing strategy.

Creative ideas have blossomed within the community, as one Kmart enthusiast dedicated an entire drawer to her children's cutlery and utensils, using the trays to curate what many dubbed the most organised drawer they’d ever laid eyes on.

'This is amazing. Never seen kids plastics and cutlery look so organised,' one replied.

Of course, not every product can please all crowds.

There are some sceptics who expressed concerns over the practicality of the trays, questioning their ease of cleaning due to the enclosed compartments, and the visibility of the cutlery within.

Additionally, a few pointed out a potential drawback: the tray's dimensions might not be a perfect match for everyone's drawers.

Despite the naysayers, the impact of Kmart's new home living range is undeniable.

It seems the store has thought of everything, with other standout pieces such as the $39 10-piece clear drawer organiser set, the $12 clear 2-tier turntable, and the $7 adjustable fridge rack, all stirring up excitement and bringing a sense of order to every nook and cranny of the consumer’s home.

I don't feel the sections in the draws are deep enough or wide enough like the ordinary ones.

You can't compare kmart brand to the Joseph Joseph brand . I purchased the kmart plastic cutting boards and they starting peeling after only a short time. I purchased the set of Joseph Joseph brand at Victoria's Basement on sale from $129 down to $49 and the quality is amazing .

You really do get what you pay for although the ammount of times you may need to replace cheaper items will end up adding up to more than the better quality one
