Here, There and Everywhere?
Seniors Alphabet

New Alphabet:

A is for apple, and B is for boat,
That used to be right, but now it won't float!
Age before beauty is what we once said,
But let's be a bit more realistic instead.

The Alphabet For Seniors:

A's for arthritis,

B's the bad back,

C's the chest pains, perhaps car-di-ac?

D is for dental decay and decline,

E is for eyesight, can't read that top line!

F is for fissures and fluid retention,

G is for gas which I'd rather not mention.

H is for high blood pressure - I'd rather it low.

I for incisions with scars you can show.

J is for joints, out of socket, won't mend,

K is for knees that crack when they bend.

L 's for libido, what happened to sex?

M is for memory, I forget what comes next.

N is neuralgia, in nerves way down low.

O is for osteo, bones that don't grow!

P's for prescriptions, I have quite a few,
just give me a pill and I'll be good as new!

Q is for queasy, is it fatal or flu?

R is for reflux, one meal turns to two.

S is for sleepless nights, counting my fears,

T is for Tinnitus, bells in my ears!

U is for urinary, troubles with flow,

V for vertigo, that's 'dizzy,' you know.

W for worry, now what's going 'round?

X is for X ray, and what might be found.

Y for another year I'm left here behind,

Z is for zest I still have - in my mind!

If you have a family history of osteoporosis you are likely to get it same as thinning and broken bones.hence why I have all these things.”do your research vp”😹😹

Mum had a rare and severe form of osteoporosis where the pain wasn't even eased by experimental medication from Europe. That's why she committed suicide in September 2007. She left a note saying "I can't stand the pain anymore". That's why she took the equivalent of 130 grams of paracetamol in one gulp.

Good way to kill your kidneys and liver but it took four days to finish the job. 😿

OMG, how terribly sad..
My step daughter did the same. She had suffered from a crippling back injury for many years.
One night she just covered herself in petrol and set herself on fire. She was only 36 years old. It took 6 weeks for her to pass. She was such a beautiful girl.

Mum was 86. She had a good innings and I reckon she would have made it to 100.

Your step daughter's case is horrific and sad beyond imagination. My condolences. 😥

Thank you, it was so terrible for my husband
He hoped and hoped she would survive, I knew she wouldn't, tried to prepare him for it, but how do you prepare a parent for the death of their child.

so clever. thank you.

Love the creativity here! Aging sure brings its own alphabet, doesn't it? Reminds me of when my grandma used to joke about her "senior moments." Speaking of alphabets, I stumbled upon this fun "Alphabet and Letters” worksheet on https://www.firstworksheets.com/ that could be a great way to reminisce and laugh about life's twists and turns.
