Seersucker tablecloths

long gone are the days when tablecloths were used for every meal as well as morning and afternoon teas. Tables were set by the kids when I was growing up. Between meals the table was bare as everything was put away after every meal. I still use a tablecloth at Christmas, and when the grandkids are staying we always have a “posh” afternoon tea. We set the table with a lace tablecloth, use old style cake plates for the goodies, and use the old English tea sets that were my mothers and mother in laws. They absolutely love it. I still have a selection of tablecloths, including two seersucker Ones. Like most people now I just use placemats on the table at mealtimes. Like most people we only have breakfast and tea as proper meals, lunch and snacks are just grab what you want, when you want it.
