See how this TikToker turned his life around and helped his unemployed friend in the process!

We all know the feeling – you wake up one day and realise that you’re not exactly doing the best job ‘adulting’. There’s clutter everywhere, your wardrobe is a mess, and you can’t remember the last time you gave your home a thorough cleaning.

It can be easy to feel overwhelmed when you fail to stay on top of things… But with the support of friends and family, you can weather any storm.

A man whose life was in a ‘shambles’ shared how he managed to turn his life around and help his unemployed friend in the process. We have to admit, it’s a genius idea!

TikTok content creator Bran Flakezz offered one of his unemployed friends the opportunity to make some quick cash in exchange for sorting his life out.

In a now-viral video, Bran revealed that he paid his friend to work as his ‘personal assistant’ for the day.

‘If you’re seeing this video, this is your sign to hire a personal assistant for the day.’ he told viewers.

‘My friend Ellie is currently jobless, so I was like, “Sis, I’ll give you $150 ($230 AUD) – can you please go through my closet and clean out all the clothes I don’t want to wear?” and she’s changing my life right now.’

He told Ellie that she could keep the earnings of any of the old clothes that she sold. He also asked her to ‘vacuum and dust everything’.

Bran documented Ellie’s hard work as she sorted his clothes into neat piles and reorganised his wardrobe. She can also be seen cleaning his room.

‘She even offered to colour coordinate my clothes but I asked her to do it by silhouette instead.’ the text across the video read.

‘She made me feel like I had a Barbie dream house closet.’

‘Always be there for your friends and try to help them in any way when life gets rough!’ he added at the end of the video.

Bran’s clip has garnered over 314k views and nearly 40k likes, with comments from users who praised him for the brilliant life hack.

‘This is SO NICE. This would give me such a sense of purpose in a hard time. I’m so happy she has a friend like you.’ one gushed.

‘You were there for her and she was there for you!’ another said.

‘You set her up for the win. That’s a good friend right there.’ a third praised, while a fourth wrote: ‘You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat their friends. You are an absolute gem!’

However, some argued that he didn’t pay her enough.

‘You owe her far more!’ one comment read.

‘Raise your rates, Ellie!’ another chimed.

Several comments came from people wanting to hire Ellie for themselves or to find someone in their area who would provide the same service.

Bran later clarified that Ellie has ‘made over $100 from selling my clothes, and found several jobs from the TikTok video’, which was his goal.

What are your thoughts about Bran’s life hack? Was it the right thing to do or did he not pay Ellie enough for her hard work? Let us know in the comments.

I feel his pain, After 2 major operations and 3 months of Chemo all happening just after we moved into our new home I am still over whelmed, I cannot seem to get my shixxx together long enough to finish unpacking boxes from our huge move, most days I am confused as hell about what I should be doing to sort everything out and barely manage to do the most basic household chores let alone doing any of that sorting that I need to do. I have always been really organised and very efficient so it is depressing that I just cannot seem to focus on what I need to do; I seriously think that along with various internal body parts I left my mind behind on the operating table.

I believe Ellie did o.k. from this venture. She was paid for a day's work & also kept over $100 from the sale of his clothes & also received further work from the video. How many hours did her day equate to? Was it 6, 8 or 7 hours? Divide the number of hours into $230 AU & this could be around $30 per hour or $40 with the $100 added onto the $230.
