Secrets Revealed: The Perfect Time to Shop at Kmart for the Best Bargains

In this era of the rising cost of living, we must make every dollar count.

At the Seniors Discount Club, we're constantly seeking shopping strategies and thrifty tips to help stretch our dollars further and make our shopping experiences more enjoyable.

Today, we have a hot tip that might make you rethink your usual shopping schedule.

The secret is as simple as it is surprising: time your visit well!

So when exactly is the best time to venture to Kmart to bag the best shopping experience and the greatest deals?

According to a resourceful fellow shopper, Danika, the answer is—brace yourselves—8 am on a Sunday!

Danika, a shopper who coins new ways to wring more out of her shopping excursions, revealed in her video how she decided to step into her local Kmart one bright Sunday morning as soon as the shutters rolled up.

Her enthusiastic verdict? It was the most satisfying shopping experience she's ever had at Kmart.

She shared, ‘I just need to start by saying this was the best experience I’ve ever had at Kmart in my entire life. So I’ve got a bit of a tip for you. Go on a Sunday morning, but go before the shops open.’

With the store recently opened and prior customers yet to make their mark, the aisles are in perfect order, and the shopping experience feels more like a peaceful stroll than a mad rush.

She said in her video, ‘Kmart opens at 8am. You can get there and there is no one else in there.’

‘You’ve just got workers, the whole place is so tidy and clean, and, if you’re going for new season finds like I was today, you’re gonna have free roam of the whole store, peace and quiet to go over every little thing again.’ she added.

With fewer fellow early birds, you can enjoy a leisurely browse without jostling others or racing through your shopping list.

Danika's wisdom has struck a chord with many others swarming the comments section, testifying to the merits of early retail therapy at Kmart.

One user commented, ‘I love shopping first thing in the morning, so peaceful.’

‘Everything is (usually) restocked on the shelves at that time.’ said another.

A third, ‘This is my sign to go to Kmart at 8 am.’

But what about you night owls who love a midnight shopping trip? Well, good news!

Several Kmarts across Australia operate all day and night, which makes nocturnal bargain hunts a reality too.

As one fan put it, '24 hour Kmart here, and those midnight Kmart trips hit different.' insinuating that midnight trips to Kmart are something special.

While we’re on the topic of Kmart, let's not forget its range of homewares and organising solutions, which are a hit among shoppers.

Professional organiser Anita Birges shared in a video how Kmart restocks these sought-after items between 8 am and noon daily.

If you have your eyes on a particular item, add it to your Wishlist on the Kmart website for an email notification as soon as it's back in stock.

‘Add the item to your Wishlist on the Kmart website, and you’ll receive an email notification as soon as it’s back in stock. If the item is listed as “in stock” online, but you can’t find it in-store, don’t hesitate to ask.’ Anita said.

She added, ‘More often than not, it’s simply waiting to be unpacked and put on the shelves.’

Key Takeaways

  • Professional organiser Anita Birges has revealed in a video that Kmart restocks their shelves, especially the organising solutions, every day between 8 am and 12 noon.
  • Anita also reveals that by adding items to a Wishlist on the Kmart website, buyers can receive an email notification as soon as those items are back in stock. So it's gone from Mondays to Sundays .
No kmart reduces on any particular day.
They reduce when an item is slightly damaged, is discontinued or they have excess stock.
Why would they do it on a week end when they have less staff on a week end

Not in Perth, shops don't open until 11am Sundays. A lot behind the 8 ball! And no 24 hours apart from the odd IGA.
