Scary Places
I am a very keen road cyclist…
Getting up early to ride to Orroroo from my home town is around 65 kilometers away. Decided that I would go home via Black Rock, Yatina , Jamestown and Caltowie..
Riding into Yatina a very heavy downpour, so made it to the closed Yatina hotel and decided to wait on the verandah until the rain passed….
I have never been so scared….curtains in the windows were moving, the blind in one of the front rooms came down in one hell of a hurry, there was just a very eerie uneasiness, did not wait for the rain to stop…just high tailed it out of there and drenched by the time I reached Jamestown….but safe!!
With the disappearance of two girls from the Adelaide Oval in 1973, police did some investigation at the Yatina Hotel, but turned up nothing!!!
