Chantel Mila, who goes by the name Mama Mila on her cleaning pages, is well-loved and appreciated here at the SDC for her helpful household cleaning hacks.
Now, she’s back again for more cleaning tips! And this time, it’s all about those hard-to-remove stains that seem to find their way onto our favourite outfits.
Sound familiar? Well, then these hacks might be just what you need. Never worry about those stubborn food, makeup, or ink stains ever again!

Sharing her knowledge on TikTok, the first issue she addressed was the pesky stains on clothes left by smeared makeup or fake tan.
The mum-of-two advised using a mixture of dishwashing liquid and micellar water to combat the stain.
After applying the solution to the affected area, she scrubbed the liquid thoroughly on the surface and proceeded to throw the clothes in the wash.
If you’re unfamiliar, micellar water is a skincare product that helps in cleansing the skin by removing impurities. People usually use micellar water to wipe off sweat and remove makeup, so it makes sense that it would be a powerful tool in removing those products from your clothes as well.

The next cleaning hack is similar to one we have shared with you guys before!
Not only is hairspray convenient when removing ink stains from furniture and tabletops, but it’s also effective in removing ink stains from clothes, as shown in the video.
Just apply a generous amount of hairspray on the affected area and proceed to wash the clothes as usual. Mama Mila advised that using rubbing alcohol works as well.
And according to our member @Judels, hairspray also works great in removing hair dye from our clothes. Thanks for the tip!

The last hack goes out to parents who had to deal with their children’s messy eating, or individuals who have done a bit of messy eating themselves (we all have the occasional food accident right?). Mama Mila knows the struggle all too well.
By adding eucalyptus oil to your wash, you can get rid of leftover grease and food stains from clothes!
“I use it all the time on my kids' clothes to cut through some stubborn food stains,” said the mum-of-two, and added: “It can be used as a pre-treater or in the wash too.”

And just like the thousands of fans from Chantel Mila’s Instagram and TikTok page, we too were impressed with these cleaning hacks!
In the comments section, the mum said she’s working for more cleaning solutions for other hard-to-remove stains such as sunscreen, sweat, and colour leaks from dark clothes.
Stay tuned, folks!
