Australians have seen massive price hikes on meat products in recent months due to the combination of skyrocketing petrol prices and COVID-related economic recovery.

With the price of beef rising so quickly, it’s no surprise that steak is becoming a rare treat for many of us.

But, did you know that it is still possible to score beef buys at slashed prices in your local Woolworths store?

TikTok user Emma, who posts under the username @instaemma89, has revealed a little-known tip to nab discounted beef products at your local Woolies store.

And the surprising fun fact? The marked down beef products are not found in the meat aisle…

Emma reveals: "Shoppers, don’t forget to check the butcher shop inside of Woolworths."

“Normal meat section - nothing on sale. The butcher shop had so many sales!”

As it turned out, you can find cheap meat products at the often-overlooked section in our local Woolies store.

"I never ever check there, and I was pleasantly surprised!” she exclaims.

It should be noted, however, that the items in the butcher section are usually marked with "quick sale" labels so the discounts may not be available at all times.

The video has captured the attention of other savvy shoppers who raved over the tip.

You are lucky to still have a manned butcher at your stop. Almost all have been closed down and only packaged meat is for sale.
The days of asking the butcher to cut what you want have long gone at most stores.
