Sand mining​

The late 60’s early 70’s saw much sand dredging on the Gold Coast. Lots of waterways were being developed. My brother and I loved swimming out to the smelly old dirty dredges in the Nerang river. We’d spend hours on them! Then we’d do some tunnels and cubby’s under the sand. Looking Back, had the tunnels collapsed no one would have ever found us!! Boys….
