An explosive new biography has rocked the British monarchy with unprecedented allegations about Prince Andrew's private life, including claims that convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein described the Duke of York as ‘more obsessed with sex’ than himself.

The bombshell revelations appear in Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York by respected royal biographer Andrew Lownie, despite reported attempts by the York family to prevent its publication.

The book is scheduled for release on 14 August 2025 by HarperCollins, following four years of research and numerous Freedom of Information requests by the author.

The Author Behind the Allegations

Andrew Lownie was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge, where he was President of the Union, before taking his master's and doctorate at Edinburgh University.

A Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, he has been a bookseller, publisher, and journalist writing for The Times, Telegraph, Wall Street Journal, Spectator, and Guardian, and has run his own literary agency since 1988. His previous works include the prize-winning Stalin's Englishman (2015) and bestsellers The Mountbattens (2019) and Traitor King (2021). This track record of bestselling royal biographies adds considerable weight to the current allegations, even as they face fierce denials.

"We are both serial sex addicts. He's the only person I have met who is more obsessed with p***y than me."

— Jeffrey Epstein about Prince Andrew, according to Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York

The Most Shocking Claims

According to the book, Epstein was reportedly effusive with his praise for the prince, telling friends, "We are both serial sex addicts... he's the most perverted animal in the bedroom." The biography also alleges disturbing behavior during official royal duties, including a claim that over 40 women were brought to Andrew’s hotel room in Thailand during the 2006 diamond jubilee celebration.

Journalist Ian Halperin told Lownie the prince has purportedly slept with over 1,000 women, including "porn stars, actresses, models, athletes, politicians and bartenders at clubs."

Personal Accounts from Alleged Encounters

The book includes detailed accounts from women who claim to have encountered Andrew. One woman, a 20-year-old model at the time, described how Andrew engaged in "kinky sexual activity" and maintained an "open marriage" before disappearing from her life abruptly.

Book Publication Details

Title: Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York

Author: Andrew Lownie

Publisher: HarperCollins | Release Date: 14 August 2025

Research Period: 4 years, including FOI requests

Reported Obstruction: York family attempted to block publication

The Virginia Giuffre Context

The book's publication comes months after the tragic death of Virginia Giuffre, who accused Andrew of sexual abuse. Giuffre died by suicide in April 2025 in Australia, adding weight and emotional urgency to the book's allegations.

Andrew settled her lawsuit in 2022 without admitting guilt. He continues to deny all wrongdoing.

Legal Expert Weighs In

Florida-based lawyer Spencer Kuvin, who represented multiple Epstein victims, emphasized that Andrew likely witnessed Epstein's abuse. Kuvin urged the UK government to allow further investigation and criticized the monarchy’s continued support for Andrew.

He added that US authorities should also investigate Andrew’s conduct further, saying that ties to Epstein warrant deeper scrutiny and justice.

The Prince Harry Controversy

Entitled also claims that in 2013, Prince Harry and Prince Andrew had a physical fight over remarks made about Meghan Markle. Lownie writes that Andrew accused Meghan of being “an opportunist” and predicted the marriage would fail. Prince Harry has strongly denied these events ever occurred.

Australian Connection and Royal Relevance

For Australians, the scandal is particularly resonant given the role of the monarchy in the constitutional framework. While the monarchy remains largely symbolic, ongoing scandals like this raise serious questions about its moral authority and public trust.

Prince Andrew’s name remains tied to Epstein’s and, despite consistent denials, public sentiment remains skeptical—especially now that Giuffre is no longer alive to speak for herself.

Current Legal Status

Though no charges are forthcoming, Andrew remains cautious about traveling abroad. A DOJ memo under President Trump found no grounds to prosecute, but recent evidence of extended Epstein ties is prompting new calls for investigation.

The Road Ahead

Royal watchers say King Charles and Prince William have no plans to reintegrate Andrew into public life. His role has been permanently diminished, and the new book all but ensures it remains that way.

While the Duke of York has never been criminally charged, public opinion continues to harden. The fallout from Entitled may well cement his status as a royal outcast.

What This Means For You

The British monarchy faces another credibility crisis as Entitled brings renewed attention to Prince Andrew’s links to Jeffrey Epstein. With one of the key voices now tragically silenced, public reckoning and institutional accountability remain elusive.

Australia’s ties to the Crown may not be under immediate threat, but public sentiment could shift. Whether the monarchy still has a place in Australia’s future may depend on how it handles scandals like this moving forward.
