Yes, I recall naughty boys flinging those stalks at the girls in the playground! My fave outdoor games were tiggy and kiss chasey and boys could never catch me as I was too speedy! Also enjoyed skipping games and ball games.

I remember making Daisy chains but not using them as a gun
So do l and playing marbles in the gutter,surprising how many different coloured marbles you got in your bag at the end of the day from others you beat.Also loved hopscotch and riding my bike.
