Revolutionise your bathroom storage with this Aussie mum's incredible Kmart tip
- Replies 9
Tired of digging through that disorganised mess of hair products, soap, skincare and toilet rolls in your bathroom cupboard? Well, one Aussie mum has found a way to revolutionise your storage, and all her helpful hints are super affordable and are all from Kmart!
Tiffany, who has a passion for 'rental-friendly hacks and DIY projects' as well as providing cost-effective interior styling tips for those on a budget, wanted to show her followers how to make the most out of limited bathroom storage spaces.
'Decluttering and organising under the bathroom sink,' Tiffany captioned her post to Instagram.
The video starts with Tiffany emptying out her cupboard and showing what’s inside. From this, we can see that the cupboard is overflowing with a mix of various products and items. Not to mention, that the cupboard isn’t exactly ‘big’, so we can see how she optimises her space to make sure she can fit in as much storage as physically possible.
The next step was going to Kmart and grabbing a variety of containers, baskets and storage units - all of which ranged between the prices of $6.50 and $18.
To organise the space, Tiffany started by placing a large rectangular collapsible basket for toilet rolls on the lower shelf. She then filled a three-drawer bamboo storage unit and a two-drawer narrow bamboo unit with hair bands and scrunchies and placed them on the top shelf. To keep more products in there, clear organisers with lids were then put atop the storage units.
Tiffany filled two medium tubs; one on the bottom shelf for miscellaneous items and the other on top for sprays, shampoos and conditioners and other creams. Lastly, a container from Woolworths held the hairdryer, straightener, and hairbrushes.
'Another cupboard organised and ticked off my list,' she wrote in the post.
Members, Tiffany’s clever and budget-friendly storage tip has been very popular with her followers, and we can see why; it looks great! I know I’m taking note of these tips, especially considering I only have one cabinet worth of storage in my little bathroom!
I know we may not all have the same storage needs, but Tiffany’s video shows us how you can use different products and containers to create a space that fits with your particular requirements to optimise the storage space you do have.
It’s always helpful to know that one of our go-to budget stores, Kmart, has multiple items that could potentially help you organise your bathroom and experiment with different layouts until you find the one that’s right for you.
